CAMEROON - 2016 NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION.
The Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou has chaired the second preparatory meeting ahead of the 43rd National Day celebration.
The second meeting took place on 20th April 2016 in Yaounde.
During this meeting, songs, choreographic movements and gadgets to be used during the civilian march past on 20th May were unveiled.
In the meantime, students and pupils nation-wide have started march practice sessions ahead of the D-day.
Security measures under check
The Minister of Defense, Joseph Beti Assomo has chaired the second evaluation meeting to lay down security measures ahead of the National Day celebrations on 20th May 2016.
During the meeting with security experts on 20th April 2016, the Minister explained that precautionary measures are to be taken in all ten regions of the country so as to ensure peace and order before, during and after the National Day celebrations.
In this light, the different services of Cameroon’s defense forces exchanged notes so as to draw up recommendations and fill any loopholes in the security milieu.
The Delegate General of National Security and the Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation took part in the meeting.
